My Wife and I had lunch while visting family Raymond/South Bend. We were very surprised of the generous portions served! It is authentic Chinese cuisine and an enjoyable eating it! A hidden gem on while on vacation. A hotel is on the primsise as well.
The review is only about the restaurant. The food was excellent, my family loved it. The service was fast, the hostess was very courteous and her smile made our day. Highly recommend for your 101 trips that run through South Bend at lunchtime!
We had a fifties Birthday Party for 25 people. Service was amazing, food was amazing. We had buffet style and lots of food left, more than enough to feed everyone who came.
We enjoyed dining at Chen's today. The food and service were phenomenal as usual. I love their egg foo young and pork fried rice. My father loves their sweet and spicy soup. He always gets some extra for takeaway when we visit. My husband had the Chef's Special Beef dish and had them add a little extra spice. He said it was excellent. The spice started small and built to a slow, sweet burn. Very tasty!! Our server, Rebecca, was knowledgeable, prompt, and friendly. She treated us with the courtesy we've come to expect from Chen's. We'll be dining there again when we get back down that way.
We live in Tokeland and have passed by this restaurant numerous times, always curious about its quality. Recently, a neighbor mentioned he had lunch here and highly recommended it, as he really enjoys the place. Although we were initially skeptical, we ended up having a wonderful dinner with my husband and our two-year-old. We ordered the combination dinner plates, which included delicious egg flower soup, and the portions were generous. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful and I will also mention that everything inside was clean and well maintained. I know the outside may be off putting but it’s a small family establishment that they have maintained very well. We are definitely coming back again soon!
